Redhawks Completes Weekend at Bowling for a KUre Tournament

DOUGLASVILLE, Pa. – The Roberts Wesleyan women's bowling team competed at the Bowling for a KUre Tournament over the weekend hosted by Kutztown University. The women went 3-1 in the first day of the tournament to finish in fourth place and went 2-3 on day two to place seventh overall.
 
Junior Emily Notebaert led the Redhawks on both days of the tournament with a 198.8 scoring average during match play on Saturday and an 18.44 pin per frame average on Sunday. Notebaert was named to the All-Tournament Team.
 
The Redhawks started off strong on the first day of competition going 3-1 with wins over St. Thomas Aquinas, St. Francis Brooklyn, and Molloy. The only loss of the day came to Felician.
 
On day two the format changed from match play to Baker Total Pinfall. Roberts began the day with a tough matchup against host Kutztown, losing 1,008-796. The team answered with a five point win over Chestnut Hill but then dropped the next two matches to Daemen and Molloy before ending the day with a victory over St. Thomas Aquinas.
 
Roberts Wesleyan is now 22-17 overall on the year. The team will prepare to head back to Kutztown for the Golden Bear Classic on Feb. 9 and 10.
