MANCHESTER, N.H. - The RWC Women's Tennis team ran its record to 11-8 with a 7-0 win over the St. Anselm Hawks on Sunday.

"Three tough matches in three days on the road is not exactly an easy assignment," said head coach
Tom Linhart. "I am proud of how the team persisted and stayed focused and healthy through the weekend."

The Redhawks opened the scoring by winning the doubles point.Â
Nthabi Mogopodi and
Andrea Gallardo clinched the point with a 7-5 win over Kaitlyn Hughes and Emily Jacy. The two teams had split doubles at 2
nd and 3
rd.

The Redhawks went on to sweep all the singles matches. Senior Co-captain
Andrea Gallardo clinched the match with a 6-1, 6-2 win over Jacy at second singles. Sophomore
Laura Freeman continued her push towards 100 wins with a straight sets win at 4
th singles and freshman
Leonie Spreng picked up a win at 5
th singles.Â

The closest match in singles came at the No. 1 spot. Senior
Nthabi Mogopodi defeated St. Anselm's Hughes in a three set marathon, 4-6, 6-1, 10-8.

The Redhawks are back in action on Tuesday when they travel to Erie, Pa. to take on nationally ranked Atlantic powerhouse Mercyhurst College. The match starts at 11 a.m. at the Westwood Tennis Club.
