ROCHESTER, N.Y. – The Roberts Wesleyan track and field teams competed in just its second meet of the indoor season on Saturday when the Redhawks traveled down the road to Rochester Institute of Technology for the RIT Invitational.
Senior
Josiah Ottolini headlined the day for Roberts with a victory in the 3,000m race. Ottolini crossed the line in 8:45.14, five seconds faster than the second place finisher. Just two places behind him came third place finisher Nathan Cannon who posted a time of 8:51.70.
Paul Dunbar also had a solid day with a third place finish in pole vault. Dunbar cleared 4.55m.
On the women's side it was the Gostomski twins with a top three finish in the one mile run.
Bailey Gostomski took second place (5:23.04) and
Abigail Gostomski finished third (5:23.06).
The 4x400m relay team had a third place finish with a time of 4:18.93. And in the field events
Anna Ahlquist had a fifth place finish in pole vault by clearing 3.00m.
The Redhawks now prepare for one of the largest indoor events of their season with the SPIRE Midwest Open taking place on Friday and Saturday.
