Women's Lacrosse Defeats Alderson Broaddus 21-2

ROCHESTER, N.Y. - 10 different players scored for the Redhawks as they came out all guns blazing against Alderson Broaddus University on a cold Saturday afternoon, winning 21-2.  In the course of the match, Lindsey Brinkel broke 100 career points for Roberts, and two players scored their first goals for the team.

It was a quick start for Roberts as Kelsey Simmons put away a free position shot just 33 seconds into the game.  She picked up another just 15 seconds later, and would go on to finish the match with six points. 10 minutes into the game, Lindsey Brinkel assisted Jessica Giancursio, giving Brinkel her 100th Redhawk point.  She would finish the night with eight total points off of four goals and four assists. The Redhawks would go into the break up 15-0.

Alderson Broaddus asked some questions of Roberts' defenders in the second half, as just 27 seconds in, Leslie Diaz would pick up the first of the Battlers' only two points in the match.  The Redhawks would pull their foot off the gas in this half, scoring only six goals.

In the last few minutes of play, freshmen Caitlin Harding and Madison Balchikonis would mark the night with their first goals as Redhawks.

With the win, the Redhawks move up to 3-1 on the season.  Next up, they will take on Slippery Rock University on Saturday, March 7th.
