SPENCERPORT, N.Y. - The Roberts Wesleyan women's bowling team shutout Penn State Behrend, 3-0 in a traditional match dual competition on Sunday at ABC Gates Bowl in Spencerport, N.Y.
In the first match,
Mykenzie Burnett,
Angelica Polcini,
Christina Walker,
Luz Torres, and
Sarah Gerken competed for the Redhawks. The ladies defeated Penn State Behrend by a score of 910-815.
Sarah Gerken led the way with a 227 game.
The second match featured
Hayley Kephart,
Kelly McCarthy,
Jaden Warner,
Paige Barkley, and
Danielle Jaeger. Roberts was able to defeat PSB once again, but by a more narrow margin of 738-715.
Hayley Kephart led the second match with a 184 game.
In match three, the top five scorers of the day returned. The Redhawks won easily with their best series of the day, defeating the Lions 925-703. Senior
Sarah Gerken had another strong showing with a game of 214, and freshman
Luz Torres added a solid 211.
The team is back in action on Saturday, Oct. 23 and Sunday, Oct. 24 at the Mercyhurst Invitational in Erie, Pa.
