BUFFALO, N.Y. - The RWC ladies completed their regular season with a 4
th place finish at the 2022 Daemen Classic.
The ladies went 1-4 on the first day, winning against D'Youville, but falling to Daemen, Walsh, Medaille, and Mercyhurst. On the second day, the Redhawks had a stronger showing of 2-3, winning against Penn-State Behrend and Pitt-Bradford, but losing to Daemen and falling twice to Mercyhurst, the overall tournament winner.
Leading the way in the traditional matches on day 1 was sophomore
Mykenzie Burnett. Burnett averaged 203.6 for the day with games of 219 and 221 . She was third overall for individual bowlers in the tournament, landing a spot on the All-Tournament Team.
For the baker matches on day 2, Burnett was solid once again, leading the team with an 18.56 pins per frame average (185.6 game avg) and filling 88% of her frames.
Paige Barkley had a great showing as well, averaging 18.51 pins per frame (185.1 game avg), and senior
Sarah Gerken chipped in with 18.33 pins per frame avg (183.3 game avg).
The Redhawks' record is now 30-25, their best regular season record in program history. The bowlers now prepare for the 2022 East Coast Conference Championships at the end of the month, where they look to defend their 2021 title.
