BUFFALO, N.Y. - The Redhawks took home a 3rd place finish last weekend at the Medaille Classic Invitational hosted by Medaille College in Kenmore, NY. They ladies completed the 2-day event (40ft/27.84mL oil pattern) with a total pinfall of 8,858 for a team average of 177.2.
On Day 1, the Redhawks went 3-1 during the traditional matches, securing wins over Penn State-Behrend, Mercyhurst, and D'Youville before dropping their final match of the day to Medaille. Sophomore
Mykenzie Burnett led the first day of traditional team matches with an average of 18.8 pins per frame (188.0 game average), adding in a 242 game. Senior
Sarah Gerken was solid for the day with an 18.7 pins per frame (187.0 game average) and high scores of 202 and 207.
On Day 2, the ladies went 2-2 for the day of baker matches, with wins over Pitt-Bradford and Medaille, but dropping two matches to Daemen. Sophomore
Paige Barkley led the ladies with 19.24 pins per frame (192.4 game average) and converted 79.3% of her spares.
Sarah Gerken was the team's second best with 18.1 pins per frame (181 game average) for the day.
The ladies now have an overall record of 27-18 for the season.
