MANCHESTER, N.H. – The busy start to the season continued for the Roberts Wesleyan men's soccer team on Wednesday.
The Redhawks, who have played five games in 14 days, allowed two first-half goals and fell to Saint Anselm College 2-0 in a non-conference match.
The host Hawks (3-0) converted a penalty kick in the 11
th minute and added another goal in the 29
th minute.
Roberts (2-3) turned up the pressure in the second half by registering 12 shots, including six on goal, but could not break through.
Senior goalkeeper
Jared Gibbons made six saves for the Redhawks.
Roberts returns home and will open East Coast Conference play against Saint Thomas Aquinas College at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday.
