BRADFORD, Pa. – Roberts swimming and diving started the new year strong with wins over the University of Pittsburgh at Bradford on Saturday in their first competition back since Dec. 3. The men's team won 121-102 and the women's team came away with a 132-69 win.
The Redhawks combined to win 16 events on the day.
Mya June won three individual events and one relay. The sophomore placed first in the 100-yard backstroke (1:09.12), 200-yard backstroke (2:32.10), 200-yard individual medley (2:29.56), and was part of the 200-yard freestyle relay squad which won in 1:54.53.
Tommy Booth was a four-event winner on the men's side. Booth won the 100-yard breaststroke (1:04.03), 200-yard breaststroke (2:33.85), 10-yard butterfly (1:03.62) and 200-yard medley relay (1:46.67).
Roberts will be back in the Voller Athletic Center pool on Jan. 18 when the team hosts Hobart and William Smith at 4 p.m.
