ROCHESTER, N.Y. – Freshman Paris Anthony scored a career-high 15 points for the Roberts Wesleyan University women's basketball team in a 69-58 loss to D'Youville University in an East Coast Conference game Saturday at the Voller Athletic Center.
Freshman Grace Galgano, the reigning ECC Rookie of the Week, also scored 15 points for the Redhawks (2-12, 1-6 ECC).
D'Youville (5-9, 4-3 ECC) led throughout the contest and built its largest lead, 53-33, with 3:16 remaining in the third quarter. Roberts closed the quarter on an 8-0 run, but was unable to pull within 10 points in the final 10 minutes.
The Redhawks did hold a 34-22 advantage in points in the paint and the Roberts reserves outscored D'Youville's backups 16-6. The Saints owned a 16-6 advantage in offensive rebounds.
Roberts returns to action on Monday for an ECC matchup against the University of the District of Columbia at 4 p.m. in the Voller Athletic Center.
