OSWEGO, N.Y. – The Roberts Wesleyan women's swimming and diving team knocked off Oswego State for the first time in program history on Saturday afternoon, winning in a tightly scored meet, 137-130.

The Redhawks competed against Oswego five times in the history of the program, dropping the last four meets. Roberts largest score total in the past was 77 points, but the team nearly double the scoring output this afternoon for its sixth win of the season.

Mya June and Amanda Charleston led the scoring effort for the Redhawks, with June winning four events and Charleston winning three events.

June picked up individual victories in the 100 yard freestyle (55.63), 200 yard freestyle (2:01.30), and 500 yard free (5:36.21). Charleston won the 100 yard butterfly (1:05.78) and the 100 yard individual medley (1:09.31).

The duo also teamed up alongside Taylor Hurd and Rennee Rozler in the 200 yard freestyle relay to take first place with a time of 1:48.26.

The men's team fell to Oswego, 164-89, but William Rugaber set two new records in the 1-meter and 3-meter dives. Rugaber won both events, posting scores of 230.45 in the 1-meter and 198.15 in the 3-meter.

Roberts will head into its final two regular season meets of the season before preparing for the METS Championships on Feb. 16-19. The Redhawks will travel to Monroe Community College on Jan. 25 for a 5:30 start time.
