GENEVA, N.Y. – It may still be early in the season, but the Roberts Wesleyan swimming and diving teams continue to set new standards for the program.
The Redhawks swept Hobart and William Smith and Wells College today in a tri-meet. The men defeated Hobart 204-58 and Wells 225-15. The women won against William Smith 155-144 and Wells 228-42. It marked the first time Roberts has ever defeated William Smith and the women's team did it in fashion. The Redhawks used the final race of the day, winning the 200-yard freestyle to secure the meet victory. The team of

Mya June completed the relay in 1:50.65 to beat William Smith by nearly two seconds.
Sidney Simmons provided one of the key highlights of the day with a new record in the 1-meter dive, winning with a score of 260.35. Simmons score hit the NCAA Division II qualifying mark (255) and if she reaches that score once again this season she will earn a spot at the DII national qualifiers for a chance to compete at the national championships.
In men's diving, Will Rugaber set the new program best marks in the 1-meter and 3-meter with scores of 221.15 and 246.80.
Andon Fedor was a quadruple winner for the Redhawks with first place finishes in the 200-yard medley relay (1:46.32), 50-yard freestyle (24.0), 100-yard freestyle (55.07), and 200-yard freestyle relay (1:37.12).
June was also a four-event winner getting victories in the 200-yard butterfly (2:19.55), 100-yard freestyle (55.89), 100-yard butterfly (1:02.17), and 200-yard freestyle relay (1:50.65).
Roberts will travel to Le Moyne on Sat. Nov. 4 for an 11 a.m. meet.
