BUFFALO, N.Y. – Junior guards
Georgia Haverlock and
Danielle DiCintio combined to score 33 points for Roberts Wesleyan University during a 79-70 loss to D'Youville in an East Coast Conference women's basketball game on Saturday.
Haverlock scored 19 points, including a three-pointer with 45 seconds left, that pulled the Redhawks within five points at 75-70, but the Saints converted four of six free throws to close out the game.
DiCintio, who made three three-point shots in the fourth quarter, gave Roberts (3-17, 2-11) its last lead on a three-pointer with 7:40 to play. She finished with 14 points, 4 rebounds and 7 assists while making 4 of her 7 attempts from long distance.
Freshmen
Grace Galgano and
Riley Childress each contributed nine points for the Redhawks. Childress also added five assists and made three three-point shots. Sophomore
Grace Dow also had seven rebounds for Roberts.
The Redhawks play their final home game of the regular season at 2 p.m. on Saturday against Queens College.
