Redhawks Compete at NCCAA Indoor Championships

CEDARVILLE, Ohio – A handful of members of the Roberts Wesleyan men's and women's track and field team competed at the NCCAA Indoor Track and Field National Championships over the weekend, hosted by Cedarville University.
 
Freshman Corden Zimmerman placed fifth overall in the heptathlon, scoring 3,876 points. Zimmerman placed second in the group in pole vault, clearing 3.40m and was third in both the long jump (5.97m) and high jump (1.81m).
 
On the women's side, Hailee Lowe was fourth overall in the pentathlon with 3,003 points. The junior was second in the 800m (2:38.63) and long jump (4.91m) amongst her group.
 
Junior Moriah Mills had a big personal best in the weight throw, placing No. 11 overall with a distance of 13.44 meters.
 
The Redhawks will be in action again next Sunday at the Ocean Breeze Athletic Complex in Long Island for the East Coast Conference Championships.
