ROCHESTER, N.Y. – The Roberts Wesleyan swimming and diving teams defeated Genesee Community College in its final home meet of the season.
The teams combined for a 349-128 victory over GCC with the men winning 156-61 and the women taking the dual meet 193-67.
The Redhawks set seven new records as they round into shape for the METS Championships beginning on Feb. 16.
Both the men's and women's 200-yard freestyle relay teams set new pool records.

Ellie LaBenne,
Amanda Charleston, and
Rennee Rozler teamed up to get a first place finish with a time of 1:48.43. On the men's side, it was
Gabe Rivers,
Robert Bodien,
Brodyn Baldwin, and
Andon Fedor setting the pool record with a time of 1:33.55.
Rivers also set a new program and pool record in the 1,650-yard freestyle (17:56.86) and program record in the 1,000-yard freestyle (10:42.52).
Charleston found success and a new program and pool record in the 1,650-yard freestyle touching the wall in 19:59.
In total, the Redhawks won 23 of the 25 swimming events.
Roberts swept the diving events with
Emma Dicob and
William Rugaber taking first place in the 1-mtr dive while also setting new records. Dicob's score of 210.50 was a new program and pool record. Rugaber's 235.10 score was a new pool record.
Both teams finished with an 8-2 record, marking the best winning percentage in program history.
The Redhawks will close out the season at the METS Championships on Feb. 16 through Feb. 19.
