SPARKILL, N.Y. - Annie Mulhall had a career-high eight goals to give the Roberts Wesleyan University women's lacrosse team a 19-3 win over St. Thomas Aquinas on Sunday afternoon.
Mulhall and the Redhawks wasted no time taking the lead over the Spartans in what was the second East Coast Conference game of the season. Mulhall scored just one minute into the game off a feed from Tori Lammes. The transfer sophomore then scored again just four minutes later to extend the lead.
Roberts' offense couldn't be stopped by STAC as the Redhawks scored the first 10 goals of the game. Nine different players notched at least one point in the game for Roberts, including seven different goal scorers.
Lammes finished with one goal and a game-high five assists.
"Everyone contributed today in this win," said head coach Kristin Paolini. "It always feels good to get that first conference win. We'll continue to build throughout the remaining ECC games, but I'm happy to see the team getting on the same page as we progress through the season."
Roberts (6-5, 1-1 ECC) will be back at home for their next game on Sat. April 8 at 2 p.m.
