ROCHESTER, N.Y. – The Roberts Wesleyan women's lacrosse team couldn't hold on to a first half lead Saturday afternoon, falling to No. 16 Assumption, 16-10.
The Redhawks used a five-goal second quarter to take the lead over Assumption and carry a 6-5 advantage into the halftime break. After both teams traded goals to start the second half, the Greyhounds went on a seven-goal run to put the game out of reach for Roberts.
Alexis Grant and
Annie Mulhall each had three goals.
Sophia Podszebka added two goals and
Tori Lammes and
Emma Blumenstock had one goal each.
Shawna Lesmerises made nine saves on the day.
Roberts (2-3) will host The College of Saint Rose on Monday at 4 p.m.
