BROCKPORT, N.Y. / LEWISBURG, Pa. – The Roberts Wesleyan women's track and field team competed at the Brockport Multi Invitational and the Bison Outdoor Classic this weekend resulting in many new personal bests and top-10 performances.
At Brockport
Lydia Ware highlighted the women's side, winning the 100m dash crossing the line in 12.47 seconds. That time was a career best for Ware. The junior didn't stop there though as Ware then traveled to Bucknell University to run at the Bison Outdoor Classic where she hit her best mark in the 200m race. Ware posted a time of 25.47 which is No. 5 all-time in Roberts history.
The distance runners also had good showings at the competitive Bucknell meet with three individuals hitting huge personal bests.
Acacia Barber had the second-best time in Roberts history in the 5,000m race with a time of 17:34.66. Previously, Barber had never broken the 19-minute mark in the event.
Joining Baber in the 5,000 was senior
Jennifer Zambuto who had a 21-second personal record with a time of 18:34.10.
Kylee Odell had her best time in the 800m with a time of 2:15 which was good for No. 3 all-time in program history.
Roberts will be back on the track again on Friday, April 21 at the Jesse Owens Classic at Ohio State University and the Otterbein Twilight hosted by Otterbein University.
