ROCHESTER, N.Y. – The Roberts Wesleyan University women's basketball team opened the second half with a 21-12 run to cut a 13-point halftime deficit to four points, but Queens College regrouped and came away with an 87-74 victory at the Voller Athletic Center on Friday night.
The Redhawks (5-14, 1-10 ECC) trailed 48-35 at halftime before pulling within 60-56 with 2:56 remaining in the third quarter on a three-point shot by
Marianna Freeman.
Senior guard
Danielle DiCintio led Roberts with 17 points and eight assists. Junior forward
Grace Dow added 16 points,
Georgia Haverlock and
Emily Palmer each scored 11 and Freeman finished with 10.
The Redhawks will host Molloy in an ECC game at 2 p.m. on Sunday.
