PLEASANTVILLE, N.Y. - Roberts women's lacrosse played its second nationally-ranked team on Tuesday afternoon, taking on the reigning NCAA Division II national champions and current No. 1 team, Pace University. The Redhawks fell 17-7.
Pace jumped out to a quick start scoring the first five goals of the game. Roberts got on the board with 4:23 remaining in the first quarter when
Annie Mulhall found the back of the net off the feed from
Sophia Podszebka. Mulhall had two goals and an assist and Podszebka had two assists.
Lucy Rugaber led the Redhawks with four goals.
Shawna Lesmerises made 14 saves in net.
Roberts (0-2) will host Saint Anselm College on Sunday, Feb. 25 at noon.
