Five Redhawks Named to IWLCA All-East Region

NORTHBOROUGH, Mass. – Five players on the Roberts Wesleyan women's lacrosse team were named to the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) 2024 All-East Region Teams on Wednesday afternoon.
 
Emma Blumenstock was a first team selection as an attacker. The junior scored 104 points on 42 goals and 62 assists in the season to lead the Redhawks. Blumenstock was No. 10 in the country for points per game and No. 4 for assists per game. She was named the East Coast Conference Attacker of the Year.
 
Making the All-East Region Second Team for Roberts were Annie Mulhall, Sophia Podszebka, Madelyn Robinson, and Lucy Rugaber.
 
Mulhall had a team-leading 62 goals to go along with 14 assists. She was the leading shot taker for the Redhawks with a .820 shots on goal percentage.
 
Podszebka had a single-season Roberts record of 163 draw controls which was second in NCAA Division II. The senior also had 31 points on 20 goals and 11 assists. She earned the ECC Midfielder of the Year honors.
 
Rugaber was the second highest point scorer on the team with 91 (58 goals, 33 assists).
 
Robinson was the heart of the Roberts defense and had 26 caused turnovers and 24 ground balls. Robinson finished her Redhawks career as the program's leader in caused turnovers.
 
Roberts Wesleyan went 13-5 overall and a perfect 6-0 in the ECC en route to its second ECC Championship in program history.
