ALFRED, NY – Three different swimmers captured three second-place finishes each to help the Roberts Wesleyan University Women's Swimming and Diving team to several solid finishes Wednesday night at Alfred.
Alfred won the team points race by a score of 170-121.
Senior Joane Arzalluz-Garzon was second in the 200 butterfly, 200 Breaststroke and 200 IM; freshman Skye Micklethwaite was second in the 100 back, 200 back and 100 butterfly; while fellow freshman Teagan Lewis swan second in the 100 Breast, 100 free and 50 free for the Redhawks.
Senior diver Emma Dicob won both the diving events with scores of 239.55 on the 1-meter board and 264.95 on the 3-meter board and sophomore Cara Pillittieri won both distance events with victories in the 1000 and 500 free races. She came-from-behind in the 1000 to win by less than a second with a time of 11:61.68 and won the 500 with a time of 5:48.04.
Junior Juliana French added a second-place finish in the 200 free with her time of 2:21.27 and classmate Sidney Simmons was second in 1-meter diving with her score of 232.45.
Roberts will battle LeMoyne Saturday, November 1.
