HAMBURG, NY – Four players finished with an average within six total points to lead the Roberts Wesleyan University Women's Bowling team to a 3-0 sweep over Hilbert College in a three-game traditional scoring match Saturday.
Sophomore Abigail Barnard had a team-leading average of 178.3 and was tied with fellow sophomore Rebecca Spry with a game-high score of 191. Both players rolled a 191 in the final game of the match.
Roberts (25-23) won the first game 785-647 and made it a 2-0 match score with an 821-671 win in the second game. The Redhawks closed out the sweep with a 910-768 win in game three.
Spry finished with an average of 172.3 while freshman Kaylee Stephens rolled an average of 176.3 and senior Luz Torres had a scoring average of 175.0.
Torres had high game scores of 178 in both the first and third games and Stephens had a high score of 186 in game three for Roberts.
The Redhawks return to action next weekend at the Purple Eagle Brunswick Spring Classic hosted by Niagara University Saturday and Sunday.
