COLONIA, NJ – The Roberts Wesleyan University Athletic Department has been awarded the prestigious East Coast Conference (ECC) Commissioner's Cup for the second consecutive season.
The Commissioner's Cup is emblematic of the top program across all of the conference's championship sports. The announcement was made by ECC Commissioner Jessica Grasso at the annual ECC Meetings being held at Roberts Wesleyan this week.
After finishing second or third each of the first eight seasons as members of the ECC, Roberts totaled 86 points to take the top spot.
The Redhawks earned ECC championships in men's cross country, women's cross country, men's outdoor track and field and women's indoor track and field. Roberts also placed second in men's indoor track and field and women's outdoor track and field. The Redhawks qualified for postseason play in 13 of the 15 ECC sports that the University sponsors.
