Brynn King finishes fifth at USATF Outdoor Championships

EUGENE, Ore. – Competing for the first time as a professional, Roberts Wesleyan University graduate student Brynn King finished fifth in the women's pole vault at the USA Track & Field Outdoor Championships Sunday in Eugene, Ore.

King was on top of the leaderboard after making her first attempt at 4.63 meters (15-feet, 2¼-inches) but saw her day end after three misses at 4.68m (15-4¼).

Eventual champion Sandi Morris, runner-up Katie Moon, and twins Amanda Moll and Hana Moll, who all passed at 15-4¼, each cleared 4.73 meters (15- 6¼) to surpass King.

King, a four-time NCAA Division II champion for the Redhawks, signed a pro contract with adidas in July.

A member of the 2024 U.S. Olympic Team, King will remain at Roberts as a graduate assistant coach for the track and field program.
