ROCHESTER, N.Y. – The Roberts Wesleyan University women's cross country team placed second at the annual Harry F. Anderson Invitational on Saturday.

Junior Evelyn Schmit covered the 5K course on the Matt St. James Cross Country Trail in 18:53.2 to finish ninth in the field of 172 runners for the Redhawks.

Edinboro finished first among the 18 teams with 43 points, followed by Roberts with 69 and Cortland with 72.

Sophomore Michaela Goettel placed 10^th for Roberts, setting a personal record of 18:56.2.

Junior Trista Webster (15^th in 19:06.5) and freshman Juliana Fodor (17^th in 19:08.4) also set personal records. Webster trimmed more than 90 seconds off of her previous PR (20:39.6 set at the 2024 East Coast Conference Championships.

Juniors Paige Moore (19:09.3) and Amelia Mickelson (19:10.9) finished 19^th and 20^th, respectively, for Roberts while junior Veronica Brewer placed 28^th (19:30.9).   

The Redhawks will return to action on Oct. 10 in Pittsburgh at the CMU Invitational hosted by Carnegie Mellon University.
