COLONIA, NJ – Graduate student Jackson Doran was the overall winner and Garret Tracy was the top Roberts freshman to finish the Harry F. Anderson Invitational over the weekend and each have been honored by the East Coast Conference (ECC) with major weekly awards.
Doran was named the Runner of the Week and Tracy was named the ECC Rookie of the Week. Joining the tandem with weekly honors are juniors Trevor Heitkamp and Jakob Zibbel who each earned spots on the ECC Weekly Honor Roll.
Doran recorded his first collegiate cross country win as he placed first at the Harry F. Anderson home meet on Homecoming Weekend. He clocked a 25:06.9 to finish first in a field of 244 runners at Roberts. It was his first 8K race in a year and he posted a win by 10 seconds to lead the Redhawks to a first-place team finish with 43 points.
Tracy clocked a time of 26:27.0 and earned a top-40 finish for the Redhawks.
Heitkamp raced to a sixth-place finish with his time of 25:33.9 (5:09 per mile) for a new 8K PR and Zibbel finished seventh overall and was the third finisher for Roberts with a time of 25:50.4 (5:13 per mile).
The Cross Country teams are off until October 10th at the CMU Invitational hosted by Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh.
