2014 (freshman): Richards competed in three 8k races his freshman year… His debut 8k brought about a 31:33.8 performance at the Highlander Invitational... Later, at the Harry F. Invitational, Richards shaved 40 seconds off of his first performance... Closed his freshman year with a 29:19.2 8k at the East Coast Conference Championships... The 94 second improvement may have been the most impressive drop in best time for anyone on the team this season.
High School: 2014 graduate of Cobleskill-Richmondville High School… Graduated in the top ten of his class... One of Richards’ most proud high school running moments was when his team won a Colonial Council Team XC championship.
Personal: Born May 16, 1996 to Raymond A Richards and Giselle Richards… Has an older brother David (23), a younger brother Ben (17), and a younger sister Hannah (14)... Lists his favorite sport as basketball with his favorite player being LeBron James… The team marvels over Richards’ ability to recite facts about every World Series in history... Favorite professional runner is Mo Farah. Major is currently undecided.
