Became the first Roberts Wesleyan University swimmer to earn All-American status by finishing sixth (46.74 seconds) in the men's 100-yard butterfly at the NCAA Division II Swimming and Diving Championships in Indianapolis. Pieterse broke his own school record by .3 seconds when he qualified fifth in 46.66 seconds during the March 13 prelim session ... Named Scholar All-American by the College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America ... Named Swimmer of the Meet at MET Championships ...
