John Concordia is entering his fourth season with the Roberts Wesleyan Redhawks.
John has been surrounded by the game of lacrosse since 1997. With the game growing, John became invested and dedicated to mastering the art of goalkeeping. He was the goalie coach for his daughter, current RWC head coach Kristin Concordia, driving her to be successful at Division I Siena College.
For the last 10 years, John was the goalie coach for Webster Schroeder High School helping his goalies to play at all college levels. He also currently coaches at the club level with Common Goal Lacrosse.
“Bringing my father on to the coaching staff was an easy decision,” head coach Kristin states. “I understand the special attention and focus goalkeepers need to be mentally and physically ready. With him, our goalies will receive extra love and extra training. They will never be stationary, nor will there be a dull moment.”
2018, John guided sophomore goalkeeper Victoria Greco to an incredible season. John states, "she was the reason for our break out wins early on in the season and remained consistent through Conference play." Greco finished with 55 ground balls, 228 saves, and a .490 save percentage.
In 2017, John helped junior Shannon Knapp be one of the best in the conference for a second year in a row. Knapp led the ECC with 162 saves while posting a .471 save percentage. She also finished her year earning ECC Second Team accolades.
