She has also coached soccer and lacrosse. She has coached at two local high schools; Wheatland Chili and Churchville Chili where she is currently the Head Coach for the Boys Varsity Swimming and Diving Team. She was awarded the “NYS Section V Class A Boys Swim Coach of the Year” for both the 2015-2016 and 2016-2017 season. She has had the privilege of working with some of the top athletes in New York State. In her four years coaching at Churchville her athletes broke and set 9 new school records and over a dozen other pool records. They brought home 2 Relay Section V Titles and 7 Individual Section V Titles in the last three years. They also qualified for New York State Championships in 19 Individual Events and 4 Relays over the last four years, having four Top 10 Finishes over the last two years.

Chelsea grew up in Scottsville, NY where she attended Wheatland Chili High School. She was a three sport athlete from 7th-12th grade where she played soccer, tennis and swam on the Boys Varsity Team due to the small size of the school. She was a utility swimmer on the team but specialized in Freestyle Sprinting and the Butterfly. She even placed at Boys Sectionals her junior year. After high school she attended SUNY Brockport where she played soccer at the collegiate level and completed both her Bachelors of Science in History and Masters of Science in Secondary Education.

When Chelsea is not in the pool you can find her in the classroom or out in the community. She has been teaching Social Studies at Churchville Chili for almost 13 years. She currently teaches 11th Grade US History and Sociology. Chelsea is also the creative director on the board of The Willie Bee Foundation, which is a newly founded non-profit organization in the Rochester area that supports families with children battling life threatening illnesses.

She is proud to be a part of the Redhawks family and looks forward to continuing to be a part of the team even when Coach Sara returns.
