Bobby McColl made an immediate impact upon his return to Roberts Wesleyan University.
McColl, who was hired as head women's soccer coach in February of 2025, guided the Redhawks to an impressive 11-3-5 record and their East Coast Conference Championship. The Redhawks reached the NCAA Division II Championship for the third time in program history and ended the season with an 11-game unbeaten streak (7-0-4). McColl was named the 2025 National Christian College Athletic Association Division I and Midwest Region Coach of the Year at the end of the season.
McColl previoulsy led the Redhawks for three seasons (2013-15), compiling an overall record of 35-20-5 as Roberts transitioned from NAIA to NCAA Division II.Â
A native of Glasgow, Scotland, McColl guided Roberts to a 12-5-3 record, a berth in the East Coast Conference (ECC) Championship game and spot in the NCAA Division II Tournament in 2015, his final season.
McColl spent the previous six seasons as head coach of the men’s soccer program at Houghton University, where he led the Highlanders to a share of the 2021 Empire 8 spring regular season title and an appearance in the E-8 championship match in the fall.
He served as the head men’s soccer coach at Daemen for three seasons after leaving Roberts in 2015. McColl also served as the head men’s soccer coach at Greenville University from 2012-13 and worked as a graduate assistant with the men’s and women’s programs at Roberts from 2009-12.
McColl graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Sports and Wellness Management from Trinity International University (Ill.) in 2009 and earned his Master’s degree in Strategic Leadership from Roberts in 2011. He has been the Director of Player and Coach Development for the Cobras FC since 2015 and has extensive experience in sports ministry.

McColl played for three seasons at Union University (Tenn.) before finishing his collegiate career at Trinity International. Â He also played with the Scotland Under-19 National Team, as well as with Motherwell FC in the Scottish Premier League.
