Paula Mitchell

Paula Mitchell was hired at Roberts Wesleyan University in 2024 as the Assistant Athletic Director for Compliance and Student Development. She brings more than 20 years of coaching experience, several years of teaching experience and four years of experience as an Academic Advisor for Student Athlete at the University of Pittsburgh.

Mitchell was an accomplished women’s lacrosse player at Rutgers University with three all-Region selections and an All-American award in 1998 from the USWLA. She was also selected as the Most Influential female lacrosse athlete in 2000 to celebrate 25 years of women's athletics at Rutgers.

After graduation, Mitchell took on a coaching role with Rutgers as a Graduate Assistant. Since then, she has coached at every level with experience with boy’s and girl’s youth lacrosse as well as high school varsity level experience.

Most recently, Mitchell was employed as a CTE Teacher at Monroe ONE BOCES at the Eastern Monroe Career Center from 2020 to 2024.

She volunteers in the children’s ministry as a Sunday School teacher at her church (Hope Lutheran in Greece) and recently serves with her husband in a marriage ministry as well.

Mitchell completed her undergraduate degree in Psychology from Rutgers in 1998. She earned a master’s degree in counseling psychology from Rutgers in 2000.

Mitchell and her husband of 25 years, Scott, reside in Greece with children Josh, Caleb and Julia as well as their dog Otis.
