Sophomore Kennedy Benjamins won the pole vault competition at the opening outdoor meet of the season as she cleared the 4-meter bar (13’ 1 ½”) on her final attempt to earn first-place honors. The height was an outdoor PR by more than a foot and placed her at or near the top of the national leader board early in the season.
