Freshman sprinter and jumper Gabe Rivera (Irondequoit, N.Y.) is the men's Texas Bar-B-Q Joint Athlete of the Week for the week of March 30th through April 4th.

Rivera earned three top-10 finishes at the Jim Taylor Invitational on the campus of Susquehanna University on Saturday, March 31.

The freshman placed third in the high jump after clearing the bar at 1.83 meters. Rivera also earned personal records in the long jump (6.25 meters) and in the 200 meter dash (23.10 seconds). In those events, Rivera came in sixth place overall.
