Tom Linhart

Coach Linhart  enters his first season as Men’s Head Coach after serving two seasons as Men’s and Women’s Assistant Tennis Coach at RWC. During those two seasons, both teams posted their best records in school history. Last season the teams advanced to the NCCAA National Tournament in Mobile, Alabama. “I am thrilled to be working with such fine players and administration at Roberts." says Linhart,  "I embrace and look forward to the challenge as Head Coach, and to continue the success of the program.”. 
    
    Prior to coming to Roberts, Coach Linhart served for six years as the Assistant Tennis Coach for the Men’s and Women’s Tennis programs at St. John Fisher College where he was responsible for expanding the program to year round schedule and instituting the spring trip to Hilton Head SC. At SJFC, Linhart coached the two winningest teams in Men’s tennis history, leading them to their highest finish in Empire 8 Conference play. 

    Linhart has also coached at Spencerport High School where he was named Division II “Coach of the Year” in 2002.  

     Outside of coaching, Linhart is a staff pro at the Manhattan Square Tennis Club in Rochester, and a sponsored member of Team Babalot. A 1970 graduate of Canisius College, Coach Linhart  is an adjunct faculty member in the RWC Division of Teacher Education. 

    He lives in Brockport with his wife Barbara and has three adult children and three grandchildren. Their youngest child, Tom Jr., is the Head Men’s and Women’s Tennis Coach and Director of Intramurals at Lake State University in Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan.
