Women's Soccer lose to Daemen in 2OT

AMHERST, N.Y. (October 25, 2011) - The Women's Soccer team fell to the Daemen College Wildcats 4-3 in a double overtime thriller.

Allison Kendall got the Raiders off to a quick start, scoring goals in the 2nd and 5th minutes.

The Wildcats made the score 2-1 in the 29th minute off the foot of Jenelle Masi. In the 46th minute, Samantha Engel tied the game with an unassisted goal.

Kendall would give the Raiders the lead nine minutes later, scoring her third goal of the game.

With less 24 second left in regulation, Masi equlaized with a shot through traffic to tie the game 3-3.

Engel would stike again with less than a minute to play in double overtime  to give the Wildcats the victory and the season sweep against the Raiders.

The Raiders now sit at .500 with an 8-8-0 overall record and are 5-5-0 in conference play.

The team will travel to Point Park University on Friday and Walsh University on Saturday to close out the regular season.
