HOUGHTON, N.Y. (October 8, 2011) - The Women's Soccer team fell to rivals Houghton College this afternoon 3-2. Sophomore Mandi Hochherimer scored a goal and had an assist for the Raiders.
Hochheimer put the Raiders on the board in the 2nd minute off an Erika Ludke assist.
The lead would stand for only 12 minutes when the Highlanders tied the game with a goal from Katherine Hornibrook. The Highlanders then scored two more goals in the 53rd and 59th minutes.
The Raiders got one back in the 77th when Hochheimer fed the ball to Kelsey Medieros for her first goal of th season to make the score 3-2.
The Raiders fell 5-7-0 and 2-4 in the conference.
The team travels to Boston, Mass. for two matches against Fisher College on Monday at 7pm and Tuesday at 12 pm.
