NORTH CANTON, Ohio (November 12, 2011) – The Women's Basketball team fell 71-63 to the #4 Shawnee State University Bears (NAIA DI) last night in the Walsh University Classic.
The Raiders were done in with giving the ball away 23 times. The Bears were able to score 26 points off the turnovers. The Bears also dominated under the basket with eight points in the paint and 13 second chance points. The Raiders managed to out rebound the Bears 46 to 38.
Lindsay Kendall led the Raiders with 17 points, going 1of 2 from beyond the arc and 8 for 14 overall.
Marissa Bunce finished with 15 points, including nine points from three-point range.
Bianca Jones had 14 rebounds with 8 coming on the offensive boards.
The Bears had four players finish with double-digit scoring. Alex Pohl earned a double-double with 13 points and 13 rebounds. Pohl never missed from three point range, going 3 for 3.
The Raiders face former American Mideast Conference rivals Cedarville University at noon today. Cedarville defeated Walsh 76-59 in the nightcap last night.
