ROCHESTER, N.Y. (January 10, 2012) – The Men's Basketball team lost 65-46 to the visiting Daemen College Wildcats in American Mideast Conference action this evening.
The visitors jumped out to a quick 15-0 lead to start the game. The Wildcats would lead from start to finish.
The Raiders were unable to settle down as the Wildcats pressured most of the first half, playing a full-court press.
Going into the break, the Wildcats led 30-16.
The Wildcats shot an astounding 66.7% from the field in the first half. The Raiders managed to shoot a season low 20.6%.
Daemen's Jim Regan led all scorers in the first half with nine points.
Alif Bland had six points for the Raiders.
In the second half, the Raiders were unable to stop the Wildcats attack. With seven minutes left in the game, the Wildcats led by 20 points after Jim Regan hit a free throw.
The Raiders couldn't muster a comeback, falling 65-46 to the Wildcats.
Bland finished the night with 12 points and six rebounds for the Raiders.
William Kemp-Harris added 11 points for the home team.
As a team the Raiders shot 27.3% from the field and 18.2% from beyond the arc.
Daemen was led by Regan's 15 points on the night.
The Raiders drop to 4-12 overall and 1-1 in the AMC.
The team will hit the road this weekend when they visit Walsh University on Saturday afternoon.
