SOUTH EUCLID, Ohio (January 18, 2012) – The Men's Basketball team earned a vital road win this evening, downing the Notre Dame College Falcons 70-64 in non-conference action.
The Raiders led nearly the entire game, avenging a loss to the Falcons at home earlier in the season.
Four Raiders scored in double-figures as the team shot 45.6% from the field and a remarkable 91.7% from the free throw line.
William Kemp-Harris earned a double-double after scoring 13 points and hauling in 10 rebounds. The junior guard went 5 of 9 from the field and made both free throws. The Suitland, Md. native had a team-high six assists in the game.
Alif Bland finished the night with a team-high 23 points and five blocks. Freshman
Mike Stone chipped in 14 points, hitting 4 of 7 from beyond the arc.
Dominique Williams added 10 points, making 2 of 3 from three-point range.
The Falcons' Marquice Taylor led all scorers with 31 points, going 11 of 21 from the field and 8 of 9 from the charity stripe.
With the win, the Raiders improve to 5-13 and snaps the team's six game losing streak.
The Raiders are back in action this Saturday when they host American Mideast Conference rivals Point Park University at 4pm.
