MANSFIELD, Pa. (January 3, 2012) – The Men's Basketball team lost 81-67 to on the road this evening to the Mansfield University Mountaineers.
The Raiders were unable to contain the Mountaineers offense, as five players scored in double-figures for the home team.
Alif Bland tied his season high mark of 25 points in the losing effort as the Raiders fall to 4-11 on the season. The senior forward grabbed nine rebounds and blocked seven shots for the Raiders.
Bland now has 225 points this season, leading the Raiders in scoring. Freshman
Mike Stone added 11 points for the Raiders and has 218 points on the season. Stone finished the night shooting 3 of 9 from three-point range.
Both teams forced 16 turnovers, but the Mountaineers were able to add 20 points off the Raiders' miscues.
The Raiders are off this weekend and will resume conference play next Tuesday when the Raiders host Thruway rivals Daemen College. Tip-off is set for 8pm.
Tickets are $3 at the door. Roberts Wesleyan College students, faculty, and staff are free with a valid RWC ID card.
