OAKDALE, N.Y. (October 20, 2012) – The Volleyball team picked up their 11
th wins of the season with a 3-2 (21-25, 25-18, 26-24, 25-22, 15-11) win at Dowling College this afternoon.
The Redhawks, who have now won six in a row, were led by seniors
Gisela Ocasio and
Alexa Antoni. Ocasio had a team high 20 kills, while Antoni earned 16 kills in the match.
Freshman
Olivia Zureck led the visitors with 14 digs while
Maggie Concannon picked up 57 assists on the day.
With the win, the Redhawks won the season series over Dowling after taking down the Golden Lions in five sets at home on Sep. 14.
The Redhawks record stands at 11-8 overall and 7-2 in the East Coast Conference as they prepare to take on the University of Bridgeport tomorrow afternoon at 1pm.
