BRIDGEPORT, Conn. (October 21, 2012) – The Women's Volleyball team fell 3-1 (28-26, 19-25, 22-25, 25-27) to the University of Bridgeport this afternoon.
The loss is the Redhawks first in nearly a month when they lost to NYIT on Sep. 29 in a five-set affair.
Alexa Antoni finished the match with 16 kills, two aces, and six digs while
Gisela Ocasio also had 16 kills to go along with a team-high 18 digs.
Freshman
Maggie Concannon had a team high 44 assists in addition to her nine digs for the Redhawks.
Bridgeport's Biljana Savic was the top performer in the match with 25 kills off of 50 attempts for a .320 hitting percentage.
With the loss, the Redhawks fall to 11-9 overall and 7-3 in the ECC.
The Redhawks return home this coming weekend with matches against LIU Post (Oct. 26), NYIT (Oct. 27), and Daemen College (Oct. 27).
