ROCHESTER, N.Y. (October 26, 2012) – The Volleyball team defeated the visiting LIU Post Pioneers 3-1 (25-15, 25-19, 18-25, 25-18) this evening.
The win gives the Redhawks the season sweep over the Pioneers as Roberts Wesleyan defeated LIU Post in three straight sets on Sep. 29 in Brookville, N.Y. The win also give Roberts Wesleyan their seventh win in their last seven matches.
The Redhawks'
Jordan Wilson led the home team with 17 kills off of 40 attempts to finish the match with a solid .325 hitting percentage. Senior hitter
Gisela Ocasio posted 15 kills on the night to go along with 13 digs and an ace.
Freshman
Maggie Concannon added 46 assists to her season total in addition to her 11 digs.
With the win, the Redhawks improve to 12-9 overall and 8-3 in the East Coast Conference.
The Redhawks have little time to rest as they host two matches tomorrow when NYIT and Daemen visit the Voller Athletic Center. In the first match of the day, the Redhawks will take on NYIT at 11am before squaring off against Daemen at 3pm.
