ROCHESTER, N.Y. (October 5, 2012) – The Volleyball team picked up a 3-0 win over the visiting Mercy College Mavericks in an East Coast Conference matchup this evening.
After winning the first two sets, the Redhawks stumbled in the third set as they found themselves down 18-12. However, the home team would rally with
Gisela Ocasio making four kills down the stretch to win the set 25-22.
Kendall Havener led the Redhawks with 11 kills off of 22 attempts, finishing with a .318 attack percentage.
Alexa Antoni had 10 kills and 10 digs on the night while Ocasio had 10 kills to go along with her 11 digs.
Mercy's Brenna White had a match high 14 kills and had 10 digs and two aces.
The win improves the Redhawks overall record to 7-8 and 3-2 in the East Coast Conference.
The Redhawks will look to climb back to .500 tomorrow afternoon when they host the University of the District of Columbia at 1pm.
