ROCHESTER, N.Y. (October 5, 2012) – Senior outside hitter
Alexa Antoni led the Redhawks to their third straight win, taking down the University of the District of Columbia in straight sets (25-22, 25-18, 25-14) this afternoon.
Antoni had a match high 17 kills off of 37 attempts with a .324 attack percentage to go along with 12 digs. Fellow senior
Gisela Ocasio finished with 12 kills and eight digs for the Redhawks, who are now 8-8 and 4-2 in the East Coast Conference.
Antoni now has 195 kills on the season and is averaging 3.00 kills per set for the Redhawks.
The Redhawks continued their impressive run at home as the team is now 5-1 at the Voller Athletic Center. The team also improved their record in three matches and is now 4-2 in that category.
Leading the Firebirds was Vanessa Garley, who had a team high 10 kills, 10 digs, and two aces.
The Redhawks will hit the road for the next two weeks, starting with matches at Queens College (11am) and Molloy College (4pm) this Saturday.
