GENESEO, N.Y. (November 29, 2012) – The Women's Basketball team cruised to a 69-47 win over the Nazareth College Golden Flyers this evening in consolation action in the 20
th annual Wendy's College Classic.
The Redhawks led from start to finish with their largest lead being 27 points midway through the second half.
Ashley Cianfriglia scored a game-high 13 points after shooting a perfect 3 of 3 from long range and went 4 of 4 from the free throw line. The sophomore also grabbed six rebounds.
Freshman forward
Samantha Courtney added 10 points for Roberts Wesleyan while
Marissa Sell posted a game-high nine rebounds.
As a team, the Redhawks shot 50.9% from the field and went 6 of 10 from beyond the arc. From the line, the team was 69.2% as
Brittany Williams,
Carneisha Henry, and Cianfriglia combined for a perfect 8 of 8.
With the win, the Redhawks improve to 4-2 and will face St. John Fisher College in the 5
th Place game at Nazareth College on Saturday at 3pm.
