ROCHESTER, N.Y. (November 8, 2012) – The Volleyball team swept their non-conference series against Houghton College with a 3-0 (25-20, 25-17, 25-18) road win last night.
The Redhawks were led by sophomores
Kendall Havener and
Jordan Wilson in the team's first of three matches this week. Havener recorded 12 kills and two aces while Wilson notched 10 kills off of just 19 attempts for an impressive .474 attack percentage.
Freshman
Olivia Zureck recorded 12 digs while classmate
Maggie Concannon added 40 assists on the night.
Kills leader
Alexa Antoni chipped in eight kills and seven digs while fellow senior
Gisela Ocasio added nine kills and nine digs.
With the win, Roberts Wesleyan improves to 15-10 overall as they prepare for their final two matches of the regular season. The team will host East Coast Conference opponents Molloy College tomorrow at 7pm and Queens College on Saturday at 11am.
