Men's Basketball Slips Up At Home, Falls to Brockport, 78-68

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (December 1, 2012) – The Men's Basketball team fell to the visiting Golden Eagles of Brockport, 78-68, in the Wendy's College Classic 5th Place game this afternoon.

The Redhawks were led by senior forward Devin Grimes, who posted another double-double with 23 points and 20 rebounds. The swingman shot 50% from the floor  and was 5 of 5 from the charity stripe.

The game would go back and forth until the end when Brockport closed out the game with a 15-6 run in the final four minutes.

Other contributors for Roberts Wesleyan were Tyrel Dixon and William Bromirski.

Dixon added 17 points and grabbed eight rebounds while Bromirski chipped in 14 points off of four three-pointers and two free throws.

The loss drops the Redhawks to 3-4 on the season as they prepare for their East Coast Conference opener against Mercy next Saturday.

Tickets for the game are $3 at the door. Roberts Wesleyan/Northeaster Seminary faculty, staff, and students are free with a valid College ID.
